Microsoft has highlighted this morning, within the framework of Tech Ed Europe 2013 that is taking place in Madrid, that there is a great demand for jobs related to IT professionals specialised in Cloud Computing . Specifically, there is a current demand of 1.7 million jobs worldwide related to Cloud computing that are vacant without being covered at the moment. The best news is that by the year 2015, that figure will amount to the 7 million jobs that would be necessary to meet the high demand of companies.

The report, recently prepared by IDC , clearly shows the current gap in qualified IT Specialist professionals to address the needs of Cloud infrastructure that companies will face in the coming years. The infographic shown is the result of a survey of more than 600 human resources managers and IT executives of large multinational companies around the world.

Globally, more than two thirds of companies are planning, implementing or using any of the Cloud computing modalities , and more than 50 percent of businesses admit that the implementation of cloud computing is one of their main Priorities The lack of training, qualification or experience are the main reasons why there is currently such a high demand for jobs. In this way, the demand for cloud- related jobs will grow by 26 percent annually until 2015, according to forecasts.

Last year, spending on Cloud services within the EMEA zone amounted to 40 percent compared to what is taking place in North America, even though the investment in private clouds was equal to or greater than in North America. Thus, in the EMEA area, IDC expects that Cloud-related IT jobs will grow around 24 percent annually, reaching the figure of 1.4 million jobs by 2015. In the case of emerging countries among the In Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, the percentage of new Cloud- related jobs will amount to 40 percent. The annual growth will be 34 percent until 2015.

In order to fill the vacancy of jobs in which a great qualification is required, Microsoft has reorganised its specific certification program for the cloud, including new areas focused on Cloud Computing within the programs it has for Windows 8 . From Microsoft they emphasise that these programs are more important than ever so that future technicians can acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to cover jobs.

Microsoft already has its current Microsoft Virtual Academy , with which many IT professionals can benefit and train in specific areas of Cloud computing. It highlights the fact that combined video and text tools are offered for free to allow self-learning. With the panorama of unemployed professionals that we have in our country, it is well worth taking an interest in training in this field.
